love is portrayed
with flowers and hearts
and intertwined hands.
but what people forget to mention
are the hours spent
at four in the morning
crying and listening to sad music
and writing heartbroken letters
because there are multiple sides
to love.
and love isn't all about
the kisses and hugs and cuddling.
there's a darker side
that people try to overlook.
but it's still there.
and it's still love.
